Our Founder & CEO Aubrie lost her beloved grandmother, Janet Hurst, last year. During her lifetime, Janet was a patron of Fostering Connections, actively supporting the mission and programs of Fostering Connections. She was most passionate about the welfare of children and animals.

 

In Janet's memory, Aubrie and her family are establishing the Janet Hurst Memorial Arts Scholarship. This endowed scholarship fund will provide scholarships for youth impacted by foster care to participate in art and music instruction, giving students the opportunity to develop their art and music talents. Janet was a visual artist and played clarinet in the school band during her childhood. The Janet Hurst Memorial Arts Scholarship fund will honor Janet's legacy of giving and appreciation of the arts for many years to come.
